Announcing: ISIN participation in a spine surgery registry
The ISIN Board is pleased to formally announce access to a newly created IONM questionnaire (form) within the EUROSPINE/Spine Tango registry. In combination with the surgeon case form and patient reported outcomes forms, we should soon be able to generate outcome comparison trials from a large dataset of “IONM” and “No IONM” cases. To assure a successful effort, we need a large contingent of the ISIN membership (and members of other neuromonitoring societies) to participate in the registry. This may mean collaborating with your local surgeons and institutions to meet the criteria for joining the registry. Below, please find 1) links to secure membership in and log-in credentials for the EUROSPINE/Spine Tango registry and 2) ISIN links to supporting documents and videos.
To formally join and use the Spine Tango registry: Surgeon, hospital, and neuromonitorist sign the Terms and Conditions document of the registry (Link). Of course, a key responsibility on the part of the surgeon and hospital is compliance with local informed consent regulations, which typically apply to patients approached to enter the registry.
To create hospital and user accounts (including the neuromonitorist) in the system, the registration form is completed (Link) and forwarded to spinetango@eurospine.org. This process normally takes about 2 days.
Some further info can be found here or on the next pages of the Spine Tango website.
