Announcing: ISIN participation in Spine Tango (a spine surgery registry)
The ISIN Board is pleased to formally announce access to a newly developed and launched IONM questionnaire within the EUROSPINE/Spine Tango registry. In combination with the surgeon-reported surgery form and patient-reported outcomes forms, we should soon be able to generate outcome comparison trials from a large dataset of “IONM” and “No IONM” cases. To assure a successful effort, we need a large contingent of the ISIN membership (and members of other neuromonitoring societies) to participate in the data collection. This may mean collaborating with your local surgeons and institutions to join the registry and collect data. In any future publications, we plan to formally acknowledge centers (country, city, hospital, and department) as well as dataset-contributing Societies, groups, and individuals who facilitate and enable research which reflects the daily practice of spine surgeons and neuromonitorists.
Below, please find 1) links to secure membership in and log-in credentials for the EUROSPINE/Spine Tango registry and 2) ISIN links to supporting documents and videos.
To formally join and use the Spine Tango registry: hospital’s representative (management, surgeon and/or neuromonitorist) sign the Terms and Conditions (Link). Of course, a key responsibility on the part of the surgeon and hospital is compliance with local informed consent regulations, which typically apply to patients approached to enter the registry.
To create hospital and user accounts (including the neuromonitorist) in the system, the registration form (Link) is to be completed and forwarded to spinetango@eurospine.org. This process normally takes about 2 days.
Please note: Participation in the joint Spine Tango and ISIN nested project on intraoperative neuromonitoring is FREE of charge and does not require EUROSPINE membership.
